Others say Adam Darke is…

  • Honest

Adam Darke is a man of his word.

Being the widow of the late Mike Hailwood MBE GM, nine times World Motorcycle Champion and F1 driver, I was approached by Adam with a view to making a documentary film about my late husband. I am so pleased that I did, because there is nothing about the film I do not like. Adam kept his word and produced a beautiful and very moving, honest and respectful tribute that everyone has applauded. Thank you so much Adam.

  • Insightful

Adam is a man who knows and loves sport. And it shows in his work. You can rely on the fact that when he casts his eye on an event or a story, then the truth will out.

  • Authentic

With Adam it’s art without artifice: he never gets in his subjects’ way. It’s an attitude that keeps the process of collaboration almost completely free from distraction and compromise: we could just get on with the job; it was all about telling our tale.

  • Creative

I found him to be that rarest of beasts: the pragmatic creative.

Adam directs and produces with a lightness of touch and focus on narrative that marks him out as a true creative. Adam is a joy to commission, a joy to work with and his programs are a joy to watch. Adam is the film-maker we all want to be when we grow up.

  • Trustworthy

Working with Adam on ‘Silver Lining’ was a pleasure. That documentary simply would not have been as good if it had been made by anyone else – Adam’s ability to put those he works with at ease whilst ensuring he captures the story that needs to be told is hugely impressive.
